Chauwei Wong

My name is WONG CHAU WEI, I am a student from Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, China. I am currently studying for my master’s degree and will graduate in the end of June 2018. Right now I have completed courses including Surgery, Statistics, Translational medicine and Clinical Medicine. I always know that “To Make Man Whole” is to have a Healthy Mind in a Healthy Body，which encourages me to be an excellent all round person.

I am very proud to be accepted by The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. I have being rotating in the Plastic Surgery department over the past year. During the time of my rotation, I have met different kinds of patients,From them I learnt a lot of fresh and different experiences every day. Tired and busy sometimes,but I am always feeling love around me in the hospital,and these beautiful memories are treasures in my life.My professor XU YANG BIN is a nice, lovely and kind man, he teaches me how to treat different kinds of patients and how to do well in the Operation Theater by himself. This is one of the most important events for a surgeon,which motivates me to be a successful surgeon. I was also given a chance to take part in the Annual meeting of Chinese plastic surgeons in Beijing. In this coming August,we are also invited to attend Annual meeting of American organ transplantation.Other than working in the hospital, I am also conducting an experiment in the lab. I am currently studying “Adipose-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells help increase Viability of Composite Grafts”.

I am very active and have an outgoing personality. I always have a positive attitude in my work,and I am a person full of enthusiasm and with a strong sense of responsibility. I am also a good team worker with excellent communication skills. I like to read and go for outdoor activities in my spare time, especially basketball. Besides,I prefer to be a volunteer to help others in need both in our country and overseas.

Finally, I really appreciate The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University for giving me this opportunity to study here and undergo professional training.
