Biography

He has been working on clinical kidney transplantation (KTx) for nearly 30 years since 1989. He has been involved in over 3 000 and performed over 1 000 cases of kidney transplant surgeries. He has expertise in pediatric KTx, KTx from pediatric donors, autograft transplant, pre-existing DSA KTx, KTx for the elderly, diabetes, pre-sensitized and hepatitis patients. He is also experienced in the management of antibody-mediated rejection and variable post-transplant infections including BK virus, CMV, pneumocystis carinii, tuberculosis and deep mycosis. The 10-year graft survival of his patient is nearly 90%.

He is appointed as the vice president of kidney transplant board of Chinese Medical Doctor Association. His research interests include pediatric kidney transplantation, pharmacokinetics and pharmacogenomics of immunosuppressants, deceased organ evaluation and transplant application, diagnosis and treatment of AMR, and mesenchymal stem cell therapy. He has published over 300 articles including 30 SCI indexed original articles, in Am J Nephrology, Int J Clin Prac, Clinical Transplant, Pediatric Transplant, Pharmacogenomics, Drug Metabolism and Disposition, Transpl Immunol, Plos One, Scientific Reports, Chinese Medical Journal, etc.  He has contributed to 7 academic books in transplantation or urology as the co-editor or the chapter author.
