Biography

Prof. Zhao’s areas of clinic expertise include: ischemia-free liver transplant, TCR-T cell therapy on hepatocellular carcinoma and quality of life in organ transplantation. His research areas include liver transplantation outcomes, reasons for graft dysfunction after liver transplantation, and enhanced recovery pathways after organ transplantation. Awards and honors include: “Young investigator award” of American Society of Transplant Surgeons (2015) and “Rising star award” of international liver transplantation  society (2016).
