Biography

Prof.Chen graduated from Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Science in 1992, and obtained doctorate in 2001. Studied spine surgery in Hirosaki Memorial Hospital, Hokkaido University and Nagoya Meijo Hospital in Japan from 2007 to 2008. Acted as fellows of spine surgery in Schoen Klinik Munchen Harlaching Hospital (Mentor, Michael H. Mayer), German, in 2010, and Spine Education & Research Institute (Mentor, Michael E. Janssen), America, in 2014. Presently serves as vice director of youth committee of cervical spondylosis of Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine, and vice director of osteoporosis committee of Guangdong Medical Association, etc.

With rich experiences in spine surgery over 20 years. Good expertises in spinal disorders including cervical myelopathy, lumbar disc herniation, lumbar stenosis, lumbar spondylolisthesis, spine deformity (scoliosis, kyphosis), spinal fracture, tumor and tuberculosis, and skilled in minimally invasive spinal surgery.

Simultaneously original researches were conducted in aging spine, pathogenesis of osteoporosis, and bone-implant osseointegration, exploring their mechanisms at molecular, cell and animal level. Forty academic articles, including 12 SCI papers, had been published.
